PRIORITIES
As a 5th-generation Riverton resident, I am deeply invested in ensuring our city remains a safe, thriving, and family-friendly community. My experience in local, state, and federal government has given me the tools to advocate for smart policies that protect Riverton’s future. Here’s where I stand:
Transparency, Accountability, and Accessibility:
As your Councilman, I won’t be someone who only shows up to council meetings. I PROMISE to hold a public town hall once a month, every month that I’m in office. Even if no one shows up, I’ll be there—ready to listen, answer questions, and keep you informed about what’s happening in Riverton.
My phone number and email are posted publicly on this website because I work for you. Whether you have a question, an idea, or a concern, I’m here to listen, respond, and make sure your voice is heard at City Hall.
My Commitment to You:
✅ Monthly public town halls—every month, no exceptions
✅ Regular updates on social media and through email newsletters with clear explanations of city decisions and policies
✅ Resident feedback reports—shared publicly during Council Meetings to ensure your voice shapes our work
Infrastructure and Housing:
Riverton is approaching full build-out, and we must be proactive and strategic in how we plan for the future. Growth is inevitable, but reckless, high-density development without proper planning puts strain on infrastructure, schools, roads, and public safety.
✅ Advocate for smart growth that protects Riverton’s home-town feel
✅ Ensure new developments have the right infrastructure in place before being approved
✅ Work with state and county leaders to preserve local control over housing decisions
Parks, Recreation, and Trails:
As a member of the Parks, Recreation, and Trails Committee, I have worked to expand trails, parks, and outdoor recreation opportunities across the city. Riverton families deserve well-maintained green spaces, more trails, and outdoor amenities that promote a healthy, active lifestyle.
✅ Expand and improve Riverton’s trail system to better connect neighborhoods
✅ Invest in the beautification of the City, planting more trees, and promoting greener public spaces
✅ Creating more outdoor recreation opportunities for families and residents of all ages
Support First Responders:
Public safety is paramount, and I will always have the backs of our police, firefighters, and first responders. We must ensure they have the funding, resources, and training necessary to keep our community safe.
✅ Fully fund police and fire services to ensure quick response times and well-equipped teams
✅ Strengthen partnerships between first responders and the community
✅ Oppose any efforts to defund or undermine our law enforcement
Fiscal Responsibility and Transparency:
Riverton has long been one of the lowest-taxed communities in the valley, and I am committed to keeping it that way. With our city nearing full build-out, we must be smart with budgeting to maintain a strong financial future while continuing to provide high-quality services.
✅ Ensure tax dollars are spent wisely on essential services and infrastructure
✅ Increase transparency in the budget process so residents know where their money goes
✅ Plan ahead for long-term financial stability without unnecessary tax increases
✅ Commitment to preserving and strengthening Riverton’s financial independence and to keeping Riverton a self-providing city
A Vision for Riverton:
Riverton is not just where I live—it’s my home. I want to ensure our city remains a safe, prosperous, and family-centered place for future generations. With strong leadership, smart planning, and community-driven solutions, we can build a Riverton that honors its past while preparing for a bright future.
I would be honored to earn your support as we work together to protect and strengthen our great city.
